Sigh....The saga of personality portraits continues with the fifth installment: Bravery. Or stubbornness, if you want to get technical. Again, if one might allow me to state the obvious, both Raven and Beast Boy are Titans. Therefore, they're brave to the point of insanity to face what they do and still live a relatively normal life in their down time.
On a more personal level, Raven was brave enough to defy her father's predestined plans for her, to fight for what she had come to love and cherish (whether she would admit it or not). Beast Boy, (and with a lack of canon knowledge on his origins in the show, much of this is speculation), as we have seen, is not the bravest Titan, but he hides a past that apparently has a much darker side. His inner beast is a creature that could only be taken down by the combined efforts of all the Titans, or a beast of similar power. To control that, to keep it suppressed and under his own human control, Beast Boy is brave enough to fight to protect his friends and family from himself, when it might be easier just to give in.
Bravery isn't about being fearless. It's about doing what you know is right, no matter how difficult it is. Bravery is sticking through thick and thin, and coming out ahead in the end. Even when beaten and bloody, Raven still pushes herself to her feet. And...well, what's more stubborn than a bull?
I'm running out of ideas for these profile portraits...I think I'm out of emotions too....Hmmm...
